Just a quick doodle depicting the architecture of Bitdefender Gravity Zone when utilised with vShield Endpoint.
When Bitdefender is used in conjunction with vShield Endpoint it allows you to offload the AV and malware scanning from your VMs to the Security Virtual Appliances, this also allows deduplication of the data to be scanned.
Management and policies are managed via the BitDefender Security Console, updates to the AV signatures are also downloaded via here.
This can obviously be of assistance in a server environment but if you’re are considering VDI an AV solution that works with vShield Endpoint can allow you to sometimes configure less resource per VM and limits the risk on an AV storm.
