When a user with a redirected profile tries to run a VMware ThinApp they may get a “Delayed write failure” message similar to that below.

I was experiencing the above error when a user with a redirected profile was trying to run a ThinApp. After investigation I found this to be the AntiVirus was causing a slow down with the writes to the .tlog.cache file in the users profile on the server. By excluding the folder containing these files from an on access scan we were able to resolve the problem.
