Display and Mouse Problems with Windows 7 on View 4.5

October 13, 2010 — Leave a comment

I have recently been doing a lot with View 4.5 and Windows 7. I ran into an issue when trying to use a number of thin clients with Teradici PCoIP chips, when connecting to the desktop I would be presented with multiple start bars and the mouse would be out of synchronisation. This problem didn’t appear when using RDP or connecting using PCoIP from the Windows client.

The resolution to this problem was to update the thin client with the latest version of the firmware from Teradici which is 3.2.0 and can be downloaded from here http://techsupport.teradici.com

The process to update the firmware on the thin clients is very easily achieved via a web browser or the Teradici PCoIP Management Console which I will be blogging about shortly.

This error was noted on the Wyse P20, Devon IT TC10 and Samsung NC190.
