Veeam Backup and Replication v5

August 30, 2010 — 2 Comments

A quick blog post to point you in the direction of Veeam’s blog http://www.veeam.com/blog as you have probably already read, Veeam’s latest version of it’s backup and replication product that is due in Q3 this year has a number of new technologies, including indexing of backups, recovery verification, universal application item recovery (U-AIR), instant recovery and much more on top of the features we already have in v4 such as change block tracking, synthetic full backups and true VSS support.

On Veeam’s blog at the moment are a number of sneak peaks into these latest technologies, I personally can’t wait for this release. So many of my customers are already using and loving what Veeam can do for them now, with these latest additions it is going to mean we can stop using other applications for Exchange and AD granular recoveries and much more.

A few of the screenshots from their blog to wet you appetite.

I wonder if we may get a release date at VMworld this week?
