vExpert 2010, Thank You

June 6, 2010 — 2 Comments

It was just over 1 year ago I decided to start blogging on a regular basis, I had been a regular reader of many VMware related blogs such as http://www.virtu-al.net, http://www.yellow-bricks.com and blog.scottlowe.org and decided it was about time I started to give something back to the community.

I was amazed to receive an email to say I had been awarded a VMware vExpert award for 2010, the vExpert awards are awarded on a yearly basis to people that have “significantly contributed to the community of VMware users over the past year” and “have gone above and beyond their day jobs to share their technical expertise” I am extremely proud and honoured to be included on a list of some extremely knowledgeable people.

@maishsk has kindly put together a twitter list of some of the people awarded the vExpert 2010 http://twitter.com/maishsk/vmware-vexpert-2010

    Congrats Barry,

Blogging is powerfull communication. It’s community based communcation, and together with a Micorblogging via Twitter the news goes fast…

When a blogger is a VCP or VCDX then getting vExpert award on the top of it helps to keep posting even if sometimes one would not have enough courrage….

    Cheers
    Vladan
