For those that have been waiting for Veeam fast SCP to support Windows 7 or Windows 2008 R2 your wait is now over. With the new update 3.02 Fast SCP now supports both of these operating systems. For me this has been on of the tools I have really missed having on my laptop since changing to Windows 7.

For those that haven’t used Veeam Fast SCP here is the blurb from their website

Veeam FastSCP is the de facto standard for ESX file management, now with support for ESXi. FastSCP allows users to copy files from ESX to Windows, Windows to ESX, or directly ESX to ESX. FastSCP is the simplest and fastest way to move VMs and templates between datastores or to deliver ISO files to ESX Servers.

For me Veeam fast SCP has been indispensable when moving customers VM’s, Templates and ISO’s between datacenters when completing migrations and also prior to setting Virtual Center on customers installations. There are off course other ways to complete these tasks but for me Veeam Fast SCP is not just fast but simple to use and always gets the job done and its free!.
